Benefits of Using a Reishi Mushroom Kit

Have you ever tried growing reishi mushrooms? They are more popular in Asian countries where they are known as ruby, or mushroom. But they have now made their way over to the West. They are highly nutritious, high in biotin, vitamin c, iron, and calcium. And since even fresh reishi is somewhat slimy, this mushroom is often dehydrated and prepared as a powder so that you can easily add it to soups, stews, salads, and sauces.

If you would like to grow your own, without the steps of dehydration and drying them, here’s a simple recipe for growing reishi mushrooms. In a large saute, put about a cup of dried reishi mushrooms and mix them with about three tablespoons of soy sauce, about a quarter teaspoon of white pepper, and a pinch of ground ginger. Add this to a hot pan with a little oil. Allow the mushrooms to brown slightly, then remove them from the heat and place them on a plate. Let your peppers cool off before using.

Because reishi is a kind of medicinal mushrooms, it is very easy to grow. Growing them is simply a matter of putting them in a container, and adding some growing medium such as vermiculite or coconut fiber to help them grow. You may also choose to simply place them in a single layer on a damp paper towel, since this will allow you to easily see the tops of the mushrooms. Once the mushrooms have grown, just remove them from the paper and add some growing medium to help the plants develop their roots. Continue this process for as long as you desire.

Many growing kits are available for people who want to try growing reishi mushrooms. These kits contain everything that you need to get started growing these unique medicinal plants. Some kits even contain everything that you need for the actual growing process. You will not have any problem growing these plants, so you can have fun learning how to make these delicious and nutritious herbs.

To make your own fresh reishi mushroom tea, simply soak the dry reishi spores in water overnight. The next day, drain the water, and place the spores in a Tupperware container or other air tight container. Allow the mixture to sit and mature without removing them. When the mixture starts to turn dark green, it’s time to remove it from its Tupperware container. After about a week, you should have a delicious, fragrant tea that you can drink!

Many people choose to buy reishi growing kits, because they know exactly what they are getting. They will be provided with the exact amounts of the nutrients that the plant needs to grow. Other gardening supplies may be provided by the kit, but the level of those ingredients will be higher. Some kits may also provide instruction for different types of mushrooms. For example, someone may get instructions for growing mushrooms that grow better in climates that are intermediate to cold. This is why it is good to have a complete gardening kit on hand when you plan to try growing reishi mushrooms.

Reishi mushroom kits are available at most garden stores. If you are planning to plant reishi in your garden, you should check with your local garden center to see what type of kit they have available. Once you do choose a kit, you should look through the selection in the store to determine what sizes, colors, and types of mushrooms are available. Often you can order the kit and it will arrive at your door within a few days. Then you can start planting!

When you are growing reishi, it is best to keep the kit out of direct sunlight or the warmth of the summer sun. The kits are not intended to be the sole source of nutrients for your plants. However, if you are only growing a small number of plants, the kit can meet all of your growing needs. After you have tried using the kit, you may decide that you would rather purchase additional supplies to use in addition to the kit, rather than having to purchase more supplies for growing your medicinal mushrooms.
